Question: Will my teeth go back to normal if i didn't wear my retainer?

Ok so i had braces and got them off october 28th 2010, i've been wearing my retainer but then i kinda stopped in december. then started again in january then stopped altogther. I've been sucking my thumb (the reason i got braces) and my teeth slightly receeded. if i wear my retainer everyday and night and don't suck my thumb, will my teeth go back to how it was when i frist got my braces off? because i really dont wanna go to high school with bad teeth :(

Does your retainer still fit? Is it too tight? If it doesn't fit or if it is extremely tight when you put it on, go to the dentist and get a new retainer. If it still fits and isn't extremely tight, you should be fine. Just wear it everyday 24/7 and your teeth should return to it's original post-orthodontic treatment state.

RDA and experience with retainers...

If you orthodontist tells you to still wear it then your teeth will somewhat change back. If he/she says its fine to not wear it then you clear. You should probly still wear it unless you want ugly teeth again:)
