What could be wrong with my tooth?!
Question: What could be wrong with my tooth?
About a year ago I had a filling put on the tooth right beside my front tooth. For the last couple of days after I eat my tooth starts to hurt and the pain goes down into my neck and the gland on that side is a little swelled and painful. I woke up this morning and it felt like someone had hit my tooth with something hard. Its painful even to the touch. I brushed my teeth and it hurt like hell. I looked at the front and back of my tooth and I don't see any discoloration or anything. What could be wrong?

Maybe the filling has broken off some place? Or you may have a cavity elsewhere in your mouth but are feeling it in that tooth. This is known as referred pain.
I know it's daunting but the best thing you can do is go to the dentist to find out exactly what the problem is. Don't suffer in pain any longer.
