How long does it take for the pain of a root canal to go away?!

Question: How long does it take for the pain of a root canal to go away?
Had my first root canal Friday... it hurt a little on Saturday. Seems to be a little better today.

I'm not feeling pain right now, only when I apply pressure on that tooth.

I'm also not taking any pain medication (advil, aspirin) as recommended. I don't feel it's that bad.

Just want to know how long until the tooth feels "normal" after a root canal?

Answers:

I was 14 when i had my rooth canal done, now im 16 lolz

But The pain lasted for 2 days. For meee from the swelling and stuff :o
But trust me, i was better from the crap hurting all the timeee :)

root canal treatment
the pain in the tooth will be mostly lost in the first sitting as the infected pulp will be removed
once the root canal treatment is started you may have a bit sensitivity due to presence of some pupal remnants
there will be complete absence of pain and sensitivity when you complete your treatment after application of cap
as you said you don't have pain now if you have so you go with ketorol it si best to relive the post operative sensitivity
