Tooth hurting all of a sudden!?!
Question: Tooth hurting all of a sudden!?
Answers:
Hello
it sounds like how my tooth felt when I needed a root canal. At first it was sensitive to cold and hot things, but bearable. But after a few months it got worse and started aching all the time. It was because the nerve was dying. So you may need a root canal. Your dentist will x ray the tooth to check for infection deep inside the tooth and see if the root canals are infected or not. If the tooth does not need a root canal, maybe you have chipped or cracked it when eating and not known. Or maybe you have a gum infection around the tooth. I have had a gum infection in the past which throbbed and was very painful and I thought it was the tooth, not the gum, but the gum was bleeding and I found a bit of food stuck, which was the cause and it soon got better after washing with warm salt water several times a day.
Check your tooth and gum area. Floss the tooth and see if that helps. I found taking Ibuprofen helped with my tooth aches in the past as they are anti inflammatory. Nurofen+ are very good, but check you can take them ok by reading the instructions as they are dangerous for people with certain health problems. If the pain does not get better, pop to your dentists. Hope it gets better asap.

What did you eat the previous day, did you brush, how long have you had this problem for?
This question is very vague, add some details. Or just take some pain killers, and go see your dentist - better be safe than sorry - it could be a cavity (?)
