Reasons to brush your teeth?!

Question: Reasons to brush your teeth?
On average, I probably brush my teeth about 3 times a week. Yes, I know, It's gross...you don't have to tell me that. I stopped brushing my teeth regularly when I was about 7 or 8, and now, lets just say I'm a teen. The other day I went to the dentist, and I had 4 cavities. And I know that that is really really bad, and that it costs a ton of money. I need to start getting in a routine of brushing my teeth, and I've been trying too, but I normally just forget, or I make up excuses. ..To be completely honest, Basically the only thing that I know about not brushing your teeth is that you can get cavities and you breath can stink. I've heard that there are a bunch of other things, but I don't know exactly what they are. So right now, I am researching reasons of what can happen if you don't brush your teeth. I'm thinking and hoping that doing this will motivate me to do it when I don't feel like it, or tell myself that I don't have enough time.
So
Why should I brush my teeth?
What are some things that will happen if I don't?
Thanks so much (:

Not many people know how not brushing your teeth can effect your health and well being. You should always have time to look after your teeth as you are also looking after your health and life expectancy. For instance flossing your teeth every day can extend your life up to 6 years some people say...

Why Floss
When you floss, you help prevent your gums from becoming inflamed. That's a good thing. What is happening when your gums are inflamed is that you have a chronic bacterial infection in your mouth. This harms your arteries through two mechanisms: the bacteria find their way in to your arteries and hang out (causing plaques), and your body mounts an immune response to the bacteria in your mouth, causing inflammation (which in turn can cause your arteries to narrow). This makes it hard for your heart to do its job and can lead to heart disease.

So brush 2 times a day and floss once a day and you will not only be looking after your teeth and gums and mouth, but also your heart, health and well being. Also try and avoid too much sugar as sugar causes tooth decay. Acidic foods also weaken tooth enamel so avoid too much.Such as coke and fruit juices and fizzy drinks and too much booze.

Hope this is enough to make you start brushing and flossing. It only takes 3 minutes 2 times a day. Well worth it I say. Go for it. Good luck and happy brushing.

Well for one you can get a periodontal disease which i had a minor one and lost some of the gum around my teeth. Also, if you have this disease your teeth will rot and will have to be taken out, money wise, getting a replacement teeth is more expensive than filling a cavity. Or you will lose all your teeth and have to were dentures.
Brushing your teeth removes plaque which is the major cause of periodontal disease

your teeth can get so bad that they might have to pull it out. or when you get older i heard if you do not brush your teeth you can get false dentures. and you have to brush your teeth to prevent plaque build up and bad gums. and you also need to floss to because if you dont the food you eat can get stuck into your teeth and also make your breath stink and cause cavities. its just really important to brush your teeth. that is all

Well it makes your breath not stink, makes your teeth whiter, makes you not have cavities, makes your mouth feel clean, prevents them not falling out one day. If you dont you will have all of these things

stop being a dumbazz and brush your damn teeth.

I never brush my teeth. ever.

i had 29 cavities at one time and it cost 6k to fix that and i am never not going to brush my teeth three times a day and as far as your Q you will need to brush them or have them pulled i would brush them if i was you

I am only 40 years old (no, it's not that old). I went last week and had all my top teeth pulled and got dentures. Because I didn't take care of my teeth when I was young, they rotted out. I spent a fortune on root canals and fillings that didn't last only a few years. Now I have false teeth. My face will probably sink in giving me that granny look but it's better than I looked before (like a Wrong Turn character). I spend about 10 minutes in the morning, at night, and after I eat cleaning my mouth and dentures. Food gets stuck under them when I eat and it feels gross. The denture adhesive they advertise on tv feels like having a mouthful of goo but you have to have it or your teeth could fly out of your mouth when you're talking to someone. That 10 minutes 6-7 times a day is more than I would have spent brushing and flossing my real teeth if I had had any sense at all. Real teeth are more comfortable. I talk weird with my dentures in and I can't eat all the foods I used to. They are no fun at all. You can make a choice to take care of your teeth now or you can choose to lose them in time and you'll still be caring for teeth, just not your real, comfortable ones. I wish I could go back and take care of mine.
