Fever, headache, and swollen gums after teeth cleaning.?!

Question: Fever, headache, and swollen gums after teeth cleaning.?
My daughter had her teeth cleaned today. She has red swollen gums, a headache, and a temperature of 100.6 degrees. I called her dentist but he is not in the office. I was wondering if this could be serious and what I can do to ease her pain?

Answers:

She may be allergic. It will probably wear off sooner or later, but you should probably call a doctor and make sure it isn't serious.
