I have tons of questions about braces! Dentists! Please!?!

Question: I have tons of questions about braces! Dentists! Please!?
I am getting braces on April 5th.
1. Does it hurt when you get them on?
2. What should I eat?
3. My appointment is at 10:00 am and my school starts at 8:00 and ends at 2:45. Should I get dismissed? Should I go to school? If I get dismissed should I go back to school, because my appointment takes 2 hours?

Answers:

1. Nah it doesn't hurt at all. After you get them on you might want to get wax so when your braces rub on you gums it wont become to irritated.
2. The dentist should give you a list of things you can eat. Anything soft the day after an adjustment or when you get new wires.
3. Stay home/. why not? :)

1- It doesn't hurt at first, but in the next couple of days it's going to hurt. But the pain differs for each person, when I had them they didn't hurt that much, I just had a major headache.
2- The orthodontist will give you a list of things you can not each such as candy, anything hard that can break the braces or anything chewy that can get stuck in the braces.
3- Ask your mom or dad if you can stay home that day, do what ever they say.

1. No its doesn't hurt at all when you get them on, but you will be in some discomfort after wards.
2. Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, yogurt, jello and pudding, soft breads, soup, just soft stuff.
3. Well I would take advantage of that and not go back to school but thats just me. You definatelyt could go back I just wouldnt
