Actually It doesn't hurt getting them put on. The next day you will get a headache. Simmilar to maybe.... If you've ever gottena preasure headache from the weather. The tightening hurts sometimes, but only in the process (like if a little brother has ever pinched you) then I'ts like a headache again. I'ts no big deal really. It's not a scary as it sounds more like annoying
personal experience
It's not really painful, it's just uncomfortable and your mouth aches for the first few days of having them. I got them on Wednesday (March 2nd) and mine don't really hurt. It's not as bad as any of the things you put in your question but you will need to take some paracetamol or whatever you take when you have a headache.

I have braces
To be honest, it didnt hurt me that much my teeth just ached for a few days and were a little bit tender when i ate. But take paracetamol or ibuprofen and it shouldn't hurt at all :)
When I had mine off it didn't hurt at all. Maybe a little sore. He didn't even use Novocaine and I didn't need it.
Not painful, just very very uncomfortable at first. Gums will ache....thats about it.
