How long were you in pain after getting your wisdom teeth out?!

Question: How long were you in pain after getting your wisdom teeth out?
I got them taken out yesterday at 12:00pm, I only got two taken out... How long do you think I'll be having opening my mouth? Talking? I can't even really get pudding in my mouth, and I'm starting to swell real bad, how long do you think I'll be like this?

Answers:

You have had a surgical wisdom tooth extraction involving bone removal. This will take around a week to get better, after 1 week you are 70% better, after 2 80% and after 3 usually 100% back to normal, Everyone is different and healing time varies. You may feel back to normal much sooner. Pain swelling and bruising is at its worst 24-48 hours after extraction, thereafter it gradually eases, taking regular paractamol and Ibuprofen combined will keep pain under control. Jaw stiffness and chewing issues will get better in around 1 week, Muscles in the upper and lower jaw will be repairing and this causes stiffness due to the muscles contracting back to normal and tissues healing. Your gums and bone will take months to fully repair but you will soon not notice the socket and will never have known a tooth was there. Rest and take pain relief, stick to ice creams and soups, encourage your jaw to open and close every 2 hours slightly and this will help you open sooner.
