Root Canal and Bleaching question?!

Question: Root Canal and Bleaching question?
I recently just went to the dentist and he said i need a root canal procedure. After the procedure, to gain back the color he also said that he has to bleach from the inside. Does the bleaching cost a lot or anything at all (please give specific price) and also the bleaching hurt, feel weird,or anything. Lastly, does the process of a root canal hurt, and will it hurt after wards and will i be able to go back to school directly after the procedure?

Answers:

The internal bleaching is part of the root canal procedure. There should not be any additional expenses. It helps to lighten the dead enamel to a more natural shade.

Root canals are long procedures, but as long as you have properly anesthetized you will not feel anything.

You will want to take the rest of the day off to recover from sore muscles (mouth open a long time) and let the anesthetic wear off.

Depending on the vitality of your tooth, a root canal can be painful or pain less. If the tooth is dead, you won't feel a thing. If the tooth is alive, you could feel some discomfort. The Endodontic specialist can prescribe medicines to help with pain.

The bleaching shouldn't hurt since by that time, your tooth is already root canal treated.
