What is the difference between tartar and plaque?!

Question: What is the difference between tartar and plaque?
Answers:

Tartar (aka calculus) is what plaque turns into when not removed from teeth in 24 hours. Plaque is a slimy film that can be easily removed but once it calcifies to form calculus it can only be removed with special dental instruments.
