Dental concern, lump underneath the gum?!

Question: Dental concern, lump underneath the gum?
I have a severe toothache and a sizeable crevasse in the molar, and on the inside of my mouth, underneath the gum of that affected tooth is a lump. I can feel it with my tongue. It doesn't hurt, but if I feel under my chin in the area, it kind of does. Like what a swollen gland feels like...Any ideas as to what this may be?

I think what you have may be gingivitis. Gingivitis is when you have bleeding in the gums and/or lumps on your gums. Gingivitis usually has a Bright red or red purplish color to the lumps. If you have any signs of it, I would contact my dentist, so you can get treated for it. IF your gums are also swollen, that could be another contributing factor. Symptoms include:

?Swelling, redness, pain, and bleeding of the gums are signs of gingivitis.

?The gums begin to lose their normal structure and color. The gums, which were once strong and pink, begin to recede and take on a beefy red, inflamed color.

If you show any of these signs, contact your doctor as soon as possible.

Also, another theory may be just a Canker Sore. These will usually have yellowish or white colored lumps consisting in your mouth. Symptoms include:

-- A painful sore or sores inside your mouth - on the tongue, soft palate (the back portion of the roof of your mouth), or inside your cheeks

--A tingling or burning sensation prior to the appearance of the sores

--Sores in your mouth that are round, white, or gray in color, with a red edge or border
It also makes you have bad breath.

Don't get to worried over it, you probably don't have any of the things I just mentioned. I would suggest visiting your dentist though. I am no dentist but I do know quite a lot about the human mouth. Also, you may just have swollen tonsils or something, you can always get your tonsils taken out, if it hurts EXTREMELY bad. But just visit the dentist and seee what he/she says.

I hope your teeth and gums are better in no time. God Bless.

My mind.

Probably a decay, have a dentist check you out.
You'll lose that one.
Anyway, does it hurt when you drink something hot or when you blow cold air in that hole on your molar? if yes, then it's too late for that tooth. it's gone buddy, gone forever.

Ohhh, then you probably have sizable pus in there. That lump is probable indication of abscess.
So i'm thinking you have tooth abscess. I don't know any home remedies, just visit a dentist.
