Bad teeth and only 15?!

Question: Bad teeth and only 15?
Okay. I wouldn't necessarily say I have bad teeth, because I don't. My front teeth are completely fine. My molars are the only teeth that are bad. Not all of them, but 4 of them. So, half of them. I am going to have to have 3 of them pulled, and the other filled. I brush my teeth twice a day. once in the morning when I wake up, and then when I go to bed. I have recently started flossing. I'm really disappointed in myself for not taking care of my teeth when I was younger, because now i'm paying the price. Now to get to my question. Since I am having three of my molar teeth pulled.. Would it be a good choice to get partial dentures? I don't want to have all these huge gaps in the back of my mouth, and I don't want it to be difficult for me to eat.

Wow that's crazy I have this same problem! I've had my two top back molars removed already and still need work on the bottom. For me, my teeth have shifted but seems like my wisdom teeth are taking the place of my old molars. But I would suggest you get the dentures..it's not bad while eating, unless you're eating something like doritos. But your teeth WILL shift and you will have gaps. My teeth were a little clustered up front so I took the chance. But I, from experience, say do it!

Most dentists will do everything possible to save your teeth. Namely through root canal and caps (crowns).
I have had 12 root canals and subsequent crowns done.
I'm glad you are dealing with this now, rather than 20 yrs from now.
My dentist won't do a partial--but I have had a 'bridge' done.
Molars are important, and if you can get a partial, I say that is best. It will give you more teeth to chew with--and keep the shape of your face/cheeks.
