Question: Has any body had excruicating pain in their mouth from gum disease while pregnant?
Can you please tell me what you took and did tro take the pain away I'm going to doctor tomarrow but I need something to take it now away till I get rto the doctor it affects my whole jaw ear and neck....I gargle with saltr water and take tylenol but I still get pain and for some reason it pains more when I sleep than when I'm up

It could be something worse than gum disease. Pregnant women often get swollen irritated gums due to the change in diet, hormones and possibly poor oral hygiene. I have never heard of it causing pain from your jaw, ear and neck.

I don't want to scare you but you might either have an infected tooth, or your wisdom teeth are causing the pain. If it is any of this, you have to consult your obgyne first, to keep everything safe for your baby.

Try using an ice pack to help relieve you since Tylenol and warm salt water isn't helping. Don't take any medication without the approval of your obgyne. If you can't contact him or her, and you can't stand the pain, go to the ER>
