I've been through that and it didn't hurt. The dentist will use enough anesthesia so don't worry about it. :) Good luck! :)
Your dentist will numb up your mouth with 2 jags for a 2nd molar , one in the back and one beside the tooth, so obviously it won't hurt. Afterward your will need to take regular painkillers every 4 hours without fail to keep the pain under control and this should be all you need to do to stop it from hurting after wards.
