I got fired from my job yesterday... help ?!

Question: I got fired from my job yesterday... help ?
Kk. So I've been working at this job for 4 months.Yes, I know it's not that much, but I'm only 17, and this is my 2nd job ever. I'm still a senior in high school, so when i got a job at that Dental office as a receptionist, I was pretty happy... and I loved it there ! I really liked the people I worked with, made pretty good money for someone still in high-school, and learned a lot. Everything was perfect until my boss got fired and replaced by a new one, which happened a week ago. Since then, 2 other girls were fired. Then I had to go. Why ? No idea. The new boss had someone send me a text saying that I'm no longer needed there... I know that I didn't do anything wrong, I was a hard worker, and I always did my best. But I guess since the office has been doing pretty badly the past week, I guess they had to blame it on us, receptionists.
So basically after spending the whole evening crying my eyes out, and calling the new boss every swear word I know in 3 languages I know, I decided that it's his loss. I was moving on, and I needed a new job. The problem is that in this economy, it's hard to find a part-time job as a receptionist, especially for a 17 year old, even though I have experience. Basically what I want is to find a job as a receptionist at some other Dental or Medical facility. I'm going to a state university next year, to study nursing, so I would prefer that I find a job somewhere relating to that field. So does anyone know any place I should apply to, that might want to hire a 17 year old, with some experience as a receptionist ?

Cry a bit more, it's healthy to let it out and once you've got it our of your system, you need to tactfully and calmly figure out a way to talk to the new boss or office manager. If they are both against you, then find another employee in the office that would give a potential employer a positive recommendation. If you were let go just because the business is slow, they should understand and not give you a hard time. If they have a problem with your performance, you need to know specifically what was wrong so that you can address it during your future job interviews.

Your new employers will ask about prior work experience and you will need to ask the dreaded "Why did you leave?" question.

As for finding a new job, start by drafting a resume. Make it professional and keep it to about one page. More than half a page and no way more than two. Theres lots of sites that will give your samples.

Get ready for a lot of "We're not hiring right now", because you're right, jobs can be hard to get. The only way to overcome this is persistence.

You also may want to list your city and state, in case someone on here knows of job in your area.

Good Luck!
