Will my teeth shift a lot?!

you know if you can stop wearing a retainer if you leave it out a few days and when you put it back in about a week later, you're teeth still fit perfectly. since its too late to do this, i suggest going to your orthadontist and getting a check-up to see whether you should get a new one. 5 years seems like a long time though, i didnt have to wear it that long.
