Your mouth is very good at healing itself quickly. If it's a deep hole, you may see "puss" but it actually will be scab unless you get a bad taste or odor. If it doesn't hurt, then there's probably no need to go to the dentist. Just use a mild mouth wash twice a day or a warm salt water rinse to keep it from getting infected. That's probably all the dentist will tell you to do, so if you don't have full insurance, why go?
Never had good luck with my mouth. lol I've done this too and it healed in two days.
If it's not that big it's no deal if it is bug make sure you don't eat anything salty cuz it will get stuck in the hole and it will sting don't eat anything hot like soup that will rub agenst it or coffee stay on pretty dry colder foods!

Be careful when eating. Dont eat chips anymore until u go to the dentist, lol. But if some serious and severe pain start, go to the dentist asap and tell him/her whats going on.
