Sounds as though she may have an infection or one of the filled teeth is abscessing. I any event she needs to get back to the dentist for an exam. Good luck and I wish you well.

Most fillings have increased sensitivity after the procedure, especially if they were fairly deep. I had a deep filling that was giving me temperature sensitivity for about two months. Advil or Ibuprofen is a great pain reliever to take for dental pain. (600 mg. (3 tabs) every 4-6 hours is a good dose for short-term use.)
Advil/Ibuprofen is a good anti-inflammatory and should also help with swelling, although swelling probably points to another issue that needs to be addressed if it continues.
it depends on the strength of the pain relief applied. They all vary. But I would give it a few days if it doesn't heel seek medical advice.
