Is this normal for braces?!
Question: Is this normal for braces?
Like when i press at the bottom - Has anyone else had this? is it because they are just being pulled tighter and tighter together?
Please don't scare me, i am crying because i am scared i will have black marks on my teeth.
BTW - I NEVER drink anything fizzy, i don't eat sweets but i have occasionally had chocolae because it was Christmas.
AND i went to the dentist a few weeks ago and they said my teeth were fine.
Please help. Is this normal? don't scare me

I had my braces tighten 5 + weeks ago and I am going in 2 days to tighten them again. My teeth hurt the worst the first week and some times longer. Right now if I press them together I have some teeth that hurt more that others. On my last check I had ex-rays done to see if the roots are moving as well and everything was fine. I am going to say there is nothing wrong with your teeth. It is normal for your teeth to be sore.
And I am guilty of eating chocolate as well :o) Just make sure you brush your teeth after every meal and snack. Use Sensodine toothpaste. It will help in the long run.

Sometime I feel like hitting my mouth... Soooo annoying :@@ :P

My teeth and gums get sore when my braces are tightened, your fine, stop freaking out hahaha
Yes, thats perfectly normal for someone to have sore teeth when they chew for a certain period of time after having the braces fitted or tightened. For me, the pain would usually last about a week or two, but this generally depends on the individual and how tight they was tightened.
Dw, you'll be fine, if in doubt, and the pain does not stop I would recommend ringing up your brace clinic and ask them about it.
Hope this helps :)
& No, having a little tar tar on your teeth is not bad, when having braces it is understandable for your teeths standards to drop slightly due to it being harder to clean them properly. I would recommend using mouth wash after cleaning your teeth atleast once a day to help keep them clean :)
Own experience (Btw im 17 and ive had braces for 2 years now)
