Advil. Take it every four hours.
Most soups are good, yogurt, applesauce...anything you don't have to chew. Rice is good too.
For me, the first week hurt a lot, and then the first couple of times I got them tightened, it hurt again because I wasn't used to it. Afterwards, it was a breeze. Eat soft foods. Soup is the best, or anything mashed. But, I have ot say, for me, I couldn't eat a banana because it hurt too much.
Take some tylenol to relieve pain!
When I got my braces on they hurt for about a week. I ate pudding,jello,soup,ice cream, smoothies, milkshakes, applesauce,yogurt, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and spaghetti. You could just try anything you want and see if it hurts. Good luck with your braces :)

When I first got my braces, I lived off of mashed potatoes (it makes a decent meal by itself) and pudding. The true pain should stop in a day or so, and the soreness will be gone in a week. Just relax, I know it kills, but honestly the pain goes away faster than you think. :)
