Question: Information on Damon Braces please!?
Im supposed to get my braces in about 1-2 months!
I have teeth crowding and am supposed to get 1-2 teeth extracted. I hear Damon braces can straighten crowded teeth without teeth extrations. Is this true??
I was also researching last night and traditional braces can age your face faster and it said teeth extractions for bad when you get older, right?
I REALLY don't want any of my teeth removed because im only 11.
It would be REALLY great if you could answer all of my questions listed below.
I'm not expecting for all of them to be answered.

So, I'm fifteen and I've been living in Toronto, Ontario for pretty much a decade now. I got braces when I was thirteen and my sister got them was she was your age, eleven. When I moved to Florida, here, most of the orthodontist places didn't use Damon technology because they said it was advanced and new and it just came out. So, I was like, um okay. That sucks Haha, but yes. Damon is a more advanced lines of braces that has just come out.
1. Depends how bad your teeth out. Normally, it's better than most other kinds of braces, but it really depends on your treatment. Me and my sister had no teeth pulled out, but my Mother had to get four.
2. Again, it depends on your treatment, but yes. They work slightly faster.
3. I'm not sure because I've just wore braces once ( obviously ), but all my cousins and friends have had more pain with other types of braces. Damon helps numb the pain a little.
4. I think so.
5&6- Sweetheart, nobody can answer that but your parents and of course, your doctor. Also, it varies on your insurance. Like, my friend, Elena. Her braces were $5700, but her insurance took off $700. And also, it depends on where your getting your braces done, Some places charge up to $7000 while some places are as low as $3000. My treatment was 2 years and 2 months and it costed about $3000, my sister's was 1 year and 11 months and hers was a few hundred more just because of how bad her teeth were.
Pulling teeth out, not pulling teeth out, it all hurts. And besides, if they pull a teeth or two out, it'll only hurt for a second when they pull it out and then a few minutes when it's numb. I promise. I've had it done before. And besides, you're getting a fabulous smile in return. Who cares about one or two or three less teeth?
So, don't worry. Really. When I was first getting braces I was so mad, I wanted to slap somebody's face off. And for the first few months, everytime I went to go get them tightened, my mouth would hurt like hell for the next few days. I wouldn't even be able to bite into a banana. And you have to clean them too. It's a HUGE pain. But now, I'm getting them off my next appointment. I'm getting them off March 3rd and this has truly been one of the BEST decisions of my life. I don't regret it at all and I'm GLAD my parents forced me to get them. I'm so excited for my new, white smile and I hope you take care of your braces well! The results are always breath-taking. :)
