Question: How can you tell the difference between fluorosis and demineralization?
How can you clinically tell the difference between fluorosis and demineralization, especially when its throughout the whole mouth

Fluorosis usually is on most if not ALL of the teeth. It usually is a carmel and/or white color. Demineralization usually occurs on random teeth. It could be a tooth here or there. Most of the time you see it on the front teeth where braces used to be. You see it mostly on one or two surfaces of the tooth that are HIGH cavity zones. Fluorosis is consistent on the teeth, it also is on the whole tooth and not just one or two surfaces.
