The roof of my mouth has a small 'raw' spot. How can I make it go away!


Question: The roof of my mouth has a small 'raw' spot. How can I make it go away?
The other day I was sucking on sour candy a lot and a small spot on the roof of my mouth got 'raw'. I'm not sure that's the proper word. But now I can barely eat anything and it hurts. What would make it go away?
