Hole in top molar tooth?!

Question: Hole in top molar tooth?
The last time I went to the dentist, when the dentist was prodding around my teeth counting them and checking them with the sharp tools, I felt asthough he prodded a little too hard and made a hole in one of my right molar teeth. I then went home and checked and their was definitely a hole there. So I went back the next week when I could get an appointment and the dentist claimed their was no hole eventhough Id checked with a mirror myself up until the dentist appointment and even my dad and mum had checked also. Im back at the dentist next week for a check up and Im going to mention the hole and make sure he does something about it. Im scared to death Im going to need a filling, Ive never had a filling before apart from a white filling on a lower molar, but that didnt involve any drilling or numbing. Do fillings hurt? Im not good with needles as they make me faint and Im also scared to death ill leave the dentist with another hole in a different tooth produced by the dentist himself, Im starting to question his professionalism and to whether he intentionally prods too hard to make holes so he gets money for the extra treatments later on. Thanks for any advice.

Okay whilst getting your check up he would have been using a mirror and probe only. This is a sharp pointed stick. This could not make a hole in your molar unless it was already decayed and he scraped it away. The previous filling would have been a fissure sealant just covering your tooth surface not involving any drilling as it was not deep.
Fillings cannot hurt as your gum is numbed up prior to the filling.

Hi newroman, I know how you feel. I like many others have an adverse fear of the dentist which is due to a really frightening experience when I was a kid. I used to have sleepless nights and break out in cold sweats just thinking about it. That is until my friends told me about a youtube video which I related to and I got a hold of a Free Fear report which helped me to address my fear to take action.

I found a really sympathetic dentist who helped me step by step encouraging me to get the treatment I needed.

I no longer have teeth or gums problems and have got to the stage that seeing the dentist is just not such an ordeal now. This has also helped my friends and I can assure you that I was the dentist's worse patient. Not now and if you are truly phobic and afraid of the dentist get to see the video and the report is life changing.

Do not suffer any longer. Get your smile back.
All the best, and keep smiling ok?
