What happens if I get my braces of early?!

Question: What happens if I get my braces of early?
I have had my braces for almost 7 years now and I am thoroughly convinced that my Orthodontist has no I idea what he is doing. I have been to my finishing wire twice and he has said that my teeth are straight and that he would like to "correct my over bite". Due to sports and other activities I have broken brackets and been sent back down to other wires. The brackets truly are crap, they have popped off while brushing. Anyway I was wondering what would happen if I got them off without being on my finishing wire.

You should've gotten several consultations from different orthodontists prior to choosing this one, or gone with one that you knew lots of people were going to. If you say the brackets are popping off when your brushing your teeth, that's a big problem. Try talking to your orthodontist because I'm not sure if you can get your money back now...

There is no reason you should have been in braces for 7 years. The brackets popping off while brushing is due to the fact that the adhesive isn't designed to be there for more than 2 or 3 years. I can't fathom why you were taken back to a stronger archwire simply because it broke. The broken archwire should have been replaced with a new one of the same level. It sounds to me like this Orthodontist has been enjoying the money he's made off of your parents. Talk to your General Dentist, ask him / her what their opinion is. If you DON'T have a General Dentist, then you need to get one. If your General Dentist works closely with your Orthodontist or hasn't said anything about how long you've been in braces, get a new Dentist.

Well ask your parent or guardian, and have a another ortho see what he can fix.
If you have had them for 7 years, then there is something up with your ortho.
As for the overbite, 3 of my friends had them, and they only wore braces for 2-3 years, and they teeth are perfect, so I don't know whats up with your ortho.
Hope i helped, good luck.

Just go to another orthodontist and get a second opinion.
