Can i smoke after i get stitches out after wisdom teeth removal?!

Question: Can i smoke after i get stitches out after wisdom teeth removal?
I had all four impackted wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday, and getting my stitches out Friday. My 16th birthday is the same day, is it okay to smoke marijuana? I'm thinking about just having them taken out Monday because my friend said when she got hers out her gums split.

Your not supposed to smoke because of the clots and eventually when the clots come out it's going to hurt to breathe in air from your mouth because the air hits the nerves. But if you do I recommend rinsing with mouth wash after everytime you smoke.

Don't smoke for at least two weeks after you get your wisdom teeth out! For the same reason they tell you not to drink out of a straw! If you suck too hard on something, it could pull out all the blood that trying to clot on top of the new wounds, and you can bleed a lot really quickly. I have a friend that got his wisdom teeth out the weekend we graduated high school, and we went to a party that night, he smoked and drank and by 4 AM we were taking him to the emergency room because he bled for over 4 hours, enough to fill a huge cup with blood. I know you want to have fun on your birthday, but honestly, ruining it with a trip to the ER would not be fun. I had mine out and even drinking out of a straw made me bleed a lot. I say, just chill out on the smoking for a couple weeks and let your mouth heal. Really, we tried to take care of my friends bleeding with gause and all sorts of stuff but in the end, he bled so much we had to wait until one of us sobered up to drive him to the ER. You don't want to have to go to the ER with your parents while you're high and explain to the docs what's going on. I promise.

The main problem with smoking anything! after an extraction is it Interferes with the healing process due to the negative pressure that builds within the mouth during puffing .
My advise would be is to get your stitches out the following Monday as you said to avoid your gums from splitting apart.
However, this will not reduce the chances of getting an infection as the healing process is being interfered with.

i had all 4 of mine pulled one week ago..and i smoked (a blunt) that night....your not supposed to smoke or use straws for one week after..but i've been smoking(cigarettes) since the day after...which i regret greatly. but if your gonna do it regardless of what anyone says.. i'd say go for it..but BE CAREFUL. and DONT smoke if they gave you pain killers to take too..the mix of them will mess you up pretty bad..and definitely use non alcohol mouth wash..or the stuff they give you RIGHT after..and DONT let your mouth get dry..

You're 16 and smoking? Really. That's not good. My grandfather smoked for 30 years and died at the age of 60 because of that. He was in horrible shape. Just stop smoking!

Nooooo! No smoking of any kind

at 16 you must not take drugs ...but if you was older i would have give you a good answer on that lol
