Question: Wisdom teeth pain!? please help? 10 points?
On my lower left tooth, i've been having pain. Every other tooth is fine but that tooth. When i rinse it hurts. So i take the medicine perscribe by my doctor because of the pain.
I havent sneezed, used a straw, i dont smoke, i rarley drink sodas, and i dont swish when i rinse my mouth.
Today, i was eating and my doctor said to try and eat with my back teeth, i did, and now when i feel if my stitches are still there, my left lower tooth HURTS, alot. should i be worried? do i have dry socket? the pain has been making me really aggravated and im just telling everyone off. Its non stop pain. I now cant even swallow water, with out it hurting.

this happened to me 2 years ago, i know its literally horrible...well try pain relievers (like advile) and this is harder than it sounds, but do stuff to keep you occupied, like video games (oviously not certain activities, like eating contests).
i got mine removed when i was a freashman 2 years ago, and it takes about a week to get better, maybe less...
I'm a Dental Assistant so I deal with this often. Yes, you may have a dry socket. Even if you do everything right you can still get one. As for the pain in your bak tooth, when we pull a tooth the tools we use lean pretty hard on the tooth next to it. However that pain should go away within a few weeks
wisdom teeth are very horrible sometimes. its natural to feel what ever pain you're feeling right now..
if you have your dentist to call anytime then no need to worry. just dont hesitate to call him.
Call the dentist back and ask them what you should do. Tell them what's going on.
Rub a painkiller on it and don't be afraid to call your dentist!!
