Braces info please!!!?!

HEY i got mine fitted wednesday haha so i remember it clearly.
1) it took 20 minutes to fit just my top so id say probs 30 minutes for both maybe even less.
2) Fitting the brace wont hurt its more like err whats going on tbh haha but the fitting wont hurt. After they will ache it slowly wares off my wore off in 4 days. Take 2 paracetomal every 4 hours and you will be fine!
3)Im with NHS and towards the end of the fitting the lady offered me a colour i said yeah she said pink? i said yeah so i had pink braces. BUT my mums friends son had to pay ￡1000 for colours (thats throughout the whole treatment not each time) so most places offer them for free but if they dont offer then do ask because my brother wasnt offered them (he goes the same place same man as me..weird)
4) its a bit boring lay there but its not that bad it goes by fast! you cant really text (you have to wear special glasses and you cant really lift you arms up to see the phone either) or talk haha so a phone would be no good an ipod would be ok i guess but its not that bad lay there to be fair :) your more focused on whats happening.

They will give you wax too, USE IT i didnt for the first day..should see the state of my gums! holy **** :( cut so much bleed alot, so USE IT, you wont feel them cutting theyjust cut, then wear the wax in the day but at night take it off so your mouth can toughen to prevent it happening again and then re-apply,
OR check the wires at the back (using your finger before you leave) if they are long and sharp (furthest bracket at the back that wire) if its sharp ask him/her to trim it.

stay away from fizzy drinks, caramel/toffee chewing gum and he will probably give you a list of other things to stay away from, do because it can lengthen your treatment :/
