can anyone help me lol braces questions?!

Question: Can anyone help me lol braces questions?
now ive had braces since november 2009. i know its only been about a year but i really want them off!! lol i've been on rubberbands since july of 2010 and everytime i go in they tell me just to keep wearing them. im supposed to wear them day and night. I always wear them at night but i dont wanna wear them at school bcuz i always get told to read and with the bands its kinda hard. but i had a big overbite before and a huge gap between my two top front teeth... lol ik not pleasant... even i was disgusted lol anyways i just rly wanna get them off.. since anyone reading this probably knows more then me.. could u tell me what the last step is to braces, if i could be getting them off before May, if rubberbands are the last step, or tell me if you have any tips on how to get them off early. any comments are greatly appreciated:) thank you soo much:) ( and yes my teeth are straight now unless the rubberbands are off for like a week, they start going back)

Answers:

You should always listen to your ortho. Even if it is embarrasing,
that is how you can get them off early. If you don't wear them,
then it will take even longer until you get your braces off.
Elastics are the last step for braces, or should be
the last step. Trust me, you should wear them, because
my friend didn't wear hers to school and she had
to have her braces on another year.
I don't think you want that. So do exactly what your ortho tells
you to do, and brush your teeth every day.
I hope this helped. I'm getting mine on next week.

You probably have until the end of this year before you can get them off, if not a little more. I just got my braces off today. I had them on for three years, and I had a smaller problem than you do. Unless you know of a miracle worker, you will not be getting them off by May. Your teeth would be getting better faster if you wore your rubber bands during the day and night, but I guess you don't want to do that. You shouldn't be leaving your rubber bands off for "like a week". That's just making your time with braces last longer. Trust me, your ortho will tell you when your braces can come off. Not to be rude, but you must not want your braces off that badly if your not wearing your rubber bands when your supposed to. Don't complain if your not going to follow what the ortho says.
