could anyone explain this tooth pain to me?!

Question: Could anyone explain this tooth pain to me?
so on sunday (about three days ago) I woke up and my bottom right molars were a little sore. after about an hour or so the pain went away. on monday i didn't feel any pain when i woke up but i had little twinges of pain about every hour or so throughout the day, and it got worse towards the end of the day. that night i didn't sleep very well at all. i kept on waking up in pain and it was very hard for me to try to go back to sleep. the pain spread all the way from my lower molars to my my lower canine teeth, through my bottom right jaw, down to the right side of my neck and my right ear. i got up and filled a cup with cool water and got an ice pack.i put the ice pack on my pained jaw and let some cool the water sit in my right cheek where my pained teeth were. that seemed to mask the pain a little. i kept on falling asleep with cold water in my mouth and would wake up every 30 minutes or so and find myself soaked in the water i had fallen asleep with in my mouth and pain in my teeth again. that day, the pain was the same it had been that night except it wasn't persistent. it came and left in intervals on different levels of pain. last night, the pain was about the same as the night before, but i wasn't awake as much because i was exhausted from the night before. today was like yesterday except when it went into a painful phase, it hurt much worse. the pain can be anywhere from a 0 to a 10. the worse the pain is the more it spreads to my neck and ear. after i came home from school today, it hurt so bad that i started sucking on an ice cube and the pain nearly went away and now if im not sucking on an ice cube, it becomes painful, almost like a burn. if i stop sucking on an ice cube and try to eat something, the pain automatically comes back. gah, i hate this. btw im 14, so idk if there's a possibility of the pain being caused by a wisdom tooth. any help is much appreciated.

Any pain that spreads across the jaw and affects several teeth is probably not a tooth ache. It sounds like it is being caused by a facial nerve called the trigeminal nerve, causing a condition called trigeminal neuralgia (TN).

The fact that it comes and goes certainly makes TN a very likely cause. It is caused by this nerve misfiring and giving off pain signals, when in fact there is no injury. Typical TN pain lasts for less than a minute, then settles down for a random period of time, then flares up again.

Here are some links with a little more info:

The second link contains a picture which clearly shows the lower nerve and how it innervates the teeth and jaw. If this nerve is affected you may get pain like yours.
Go see your doctor and get properly diagnosed. You may need to see a dentist as well and get some x-rays taken.

I have had TN since November, and it rapidly got worse, quickly spreading from a small area to the upper and lower jaw. I was given medication for it which has worked, where opiate painkillers I was given didn't.

floss and brush twice. let the toothpaste sit on teeth a minute before rinsing. fluoride is the only known thing that fights cavities. fluoride rinse helps. a dentist will see you immediately if you're in pain. the sooner you see a dentist, the easier and cheaper it will be to repair.

It's probably your wisdom teeth trying to grow out. That's how my pain was too... It spreads to your ear and throat/neck. Go to the dentist and have them do an x-ray. It might be growing sideways, causing pressure to your other teeth... although my teeth are extremely straight, that's what happened to me as a result of having a small jaw, so it's possible. Hope you feel better soon ! :) Believe me it's better to just get it over with and pull it out rather than stand so much pain... it could get worse.
