Ignore him. He is 20 and can get food for himself. You tried he rejected you. Don't take his crap. I'm 18 and I think that is ridiculous. I thank my mom when she offers me food even if I don't want it. It's not like he will starve. If he gets hungry he can get it himself.

First of all I must say I am appauled by how rude people were in there responses to you. Your son may be a grown man but in my opinion you are never too old to need your Mom. Anyways for the next few days stay away from any hot or spicy foods. Cold temp foods are good and lukewarm is ok. Nothing too hot because that can get bleeding going again. Some suggestions are: Cottage Cheese, Ice Cream, Jello, Pudding, Scrambled Eggs, Apple Sauce, Soups, Noodles, Rice, Pasta, Tuna, Egg Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni Salad, Banannas. Anything else that he really wants to eat you can always try putting it in the blender or food processor. Also protien shakes or Carnation Instant Breakfast is always good just to make sure he's still getting some nutrition. Keep in mind he's probably in a lot of pain and may just want to be left alone for today, I'm sure he will come around when he starts to feel a little better. Hope my suggestions helped at least a little! Good Luck.

Stop offering foods. He's not a baby. If he's hungry, he will eat something that doesn't cause him pain. If it causes him pain, he'll stop eating it.

HOWEVER:

If you feel he is a danger to himself, you have a duty to call for medical/police assistance, as you are not in a position to provide adequate support.

I've read everyones answers and they are all right. He's a young man and can take care of himself unless he's in so much pain that he is beside himself. Still, even then, he can take care of himself. You don't deserve his crap. It'll all be over in a day or two so stop worrying about it or HIM.

20 years old...HE IS A BIG BOY! He should be able to solve the problem himself. But don't worry too much, he is just grumpy and full of pain. That's why he is acting that way. After the pain disappears, he will be back to normal, whatever that is in your book.

Kick his grown *** out or tell his *** to fix his own food. when i got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled on the same day i was still able to do things for myself and if he doesn't like it oh well.

He is 20 years old. He did not have open heart surgery. Offer him soup and something to drink then leave him alone do not hover . he will be fine.
