What does it feel like after getting your wisdom teeth pulled?!

Question: What does it feel like after getting your wisdom teeth pulled?
I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow, and I'm really nervous. What does it feel like after they take them out? Is there like a hole or something in your mouth? And what kinds of foods am I able to eat? Is it going to make me lose weight or something? Sorry for the many questions, haha, but I'm really panicking here.

Answers:

I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled on Saturday.
You'll be out of it during surgery, you won't feel pain, but you'll feel pressure. More than likely you'll fall asleep.
An hour or two after the surgery you'll feel alright, just don't talk too much and there will be a lot of bleeding. Don't panic, this is normal. Rest for a while.
A couple hours later take your antibiotics and have a little to eat. Ice cream would be the best suggestion for the first night. Try not talking the first day. It might hurt.
The next day isn't too terribly painful but you'll still feel swollen. Usually the next day is the worst, but don't sweat it. There shouldn't be a hole because your oral surgeon will stitch up your mouth (doesn't hurt).
Honestly, don't panic. You'll be fine. I thought I was going to have a panic attack at the oral surgeon's office because my friend scared me half to death about it. It isn't too bad. I have to admit that the pain and swelling depends from person to person but its not as bad as everyone says it is.
As for the foods you can eat, you'll mainly be on a soft/cold diet. Ice cream, milkshakes, mashed potatoes, cold soup, pasta. DO NOT USE STRAWS! My oral surgeon told me they can cause complications. I highly doubt you'll lose much weight.
By the end of the second day you'll feel just fine. It won't be painful, but you might feel a little pressure. It doesn't hurt, its just annoying. I'm still eating soft foods, but hopefully I can get back to a normal diet in a few more days once I'm fully recovered.
Oh, and I didn't take any pain meds other than Motrin the first two days. Don't forget to take your antibiotics and rinse your mouth out with warm water and salt every few hours the day after the surgery.
Good luck, you'll do just fine!

myself.

I haven't gotten mine out yet but I probably will soon. But I did go with my sister when she got all 4 of hers taken out. The procedure took literally 15 minutes. She had cotton rounds in her mouth to clot the blood, and she could take them out after a few hours. But whatever you so, don't spit. It can cause the clot to come out and bleeding to start all over again, so make sure you don't spit! Once the drugs wore off her mouth started to hurt. She could only eat soft, mushy foods for a few days, so stalk up on yogurts, smoothies, applesauce, soup, things like that. She recovered pretty quick and didn't complain about pain too much. Just keep the areas where your teeth used to be clean and follow any other directions given to you by the dentist and your should be fine :] Take a lot of pain killers. Lol good luck!
