You can easily check your minimal health care rates in internet, for example here - health-quotes.isgreat.org
sure - you pay the full ride
just had a root canal yesterday
my insurance allowed $640 but dentist only charged $625
and my portion, after deductible, was $165
next year - get the insurance - from your employer
good for two cleanings a year and an x-ray
and a WHOLE lot more
all the best
Of course you can see a dentist without insurance. When I had one of my wisdom pulled it cost me somewhere around $200, but prices vary according to where your tooth is located and how hard it would be to take it out. Just go for a consult. X-rays don't cost that much. Maybe $40.
