Are braces supposed to hurt when they get tightened?!

Question: Are braces supposed to hurt when they get tightened?
My braces hurt for 3 days after i got them. I just had them tightened yesterday morning and my teeth don't hurt at all, but they feel a little tight. Everyone says it hurts after you get them tightened, but i haven't had any pain. Why is that?

sometimes you don't sometimes you do. There are new braces that are supposed to be less painful, maybe you got those

The pain depends on what a "tightening" means that appointment. Sometimes they only change a wire which isn't as painful as getting a thicker gage wire or powerchains or both. They are probably sorting out your teeth first, then the more painful stuff will begin.

well do expect to get metal wiring latched on to your crevices of your teeth to feel like a unicorn giving you 45 trillion dollars? yes they might get a little sore.

hope i helped

You may not have any pain because
your teeth aren't as bad as your friends were.
Sometimes it will hurt others it won't.
Hope this helped.

No, they aren't SUPPOSED to hurt. I had braces before and they didnt hurt me, just felt a little tight. & my teeth are perfect now :) so no need to worry

maybe your teeth aren't as crooked and don't need as much tightening

well everyone has a different pain tolerance. it didn't always hurt me. don't worry they're doing their job!
