why do 6-8 year olds need braces?!

Same reason anyone does.

When my sister was 8 she had temporary braces to fix her front teeth, it's not a premenate (sp) thing since they haven't lost all their baby teeth yet, it usually to fix a really big problem that they can't wait another 5 or more years for

I had braces when I was 8 years old, but only on my top 6 teeth & bottom 4 teeth. But by the time I was 13 and all my baby teeth were gone, I got full mouth braces.
