You ate before the dentist told you that you had the cavity, didn't you? The condition of that tooth hasn't radically changed since then, nor will it change much between now and when you get to the dentist.

Yes you can eat, just try to avoid chewing on that side and also avoid sugary stuff, really cold stuff, or really hot stuff. That's just because it might hurt a little.

if its hard or crusty it might hurt, but if its soft and mushy like soup it wont hurt .but dont eat anything cold it will hurt it
