How bad is my gingivitis?!

Question: How bad is my gingivitis?
I have about 3 gums that swell up. One of them is the tooth right next to my left front tooth. The other two are on my bottom teeth. When I brush my teeth, they bleed and they go back to normal size. Then a few days ago I wasn't able to brush my teeth and then it came back swelled up again. Since it keeps going down and coming back up, does that mean by gingivitis isn't really that bad? Right now they're currently swollen and I just brushed my gums really good. Do I HAVE to go to the dentist or if I just keep brushing really really good it will go away (the gingivitis)?

It sounds like you have a mild case of gingivitis, and action should be taken immediately whether you visit the dentist or not.

Here are a few action steps you can take, and I'll live you a site with more info in case this doesn't work for you.

First, brush and floss after every meal, then follow-up with a natural rinse that doesn't contain alcohol. Alcohol dries you mouth out, and bacteria thrives in a dry mouth. Secondly, use salt and warm water in the morning to soothe your gums (gargle with this). Next, use your natural rinse before going to bed to help with dry mouth. Finally, increase your Vitamin C intake to help heal the gum-line naturally.

Follow these instructions and you should see results. If you need more healing tips check out the resource below.

Hey, I know your pain, my gums bleed when I brushed and ate. It was to the point my breath started to stink, but I didn't have dental insurance.

Here's what I did to get rid of gingivitis. I started brushing and flossing after every meal. In the morning, I used a gargle mix of salt and warm water, and before bedtime, I use a natural oral rinse with tea tree oil after brushing and flossing.

Within two weeks, I started to see a difference and within a month, the bleeding was reduced by 90%. I know every case is different, but I wanted to share my story in case it could help others in my situation.

I would recommend to go to the dentist just to be safe (they will give you suggestions on how to fix that). The problem for most people is that they don't FLOSS so FLOSS once to two times a day! Make sure you are brushing your teeth as well 2-3 times a day! Good luck! :-)
