Question: How long before you can chew with a Herbst Appliance in?
I got one added onto my braces, and it find it impossible and very painful to chew anything, please tell me I will be able to eat something more than Jello for the next year!

i've had the herbst for about...four months now? i was able to eat most solid food at the end of that first month. So dont worry, you wont be stuck eating jello for two long(: by the way, you WILL get your mouth cut up everynow and then, so keep some tylanol handy.
