Well it's not like braces directly affect basketball. If you missed your practice/game because of braces, it would probably only be because of pain (not to worry, braces aren't incredibly painful but your mouth will probably feel really sore and it's a bit hard to eat at first). If your parents are really, really cautious then you might want to wear a mouthgard but that's highly doubtful. Hope you make it to your practice and game (:
