Why are my gums bleeding so much?!
Question: Why are my gums bleeding so much?
Answers:
Listen closely... you have a bacterial infection in your mouth that probably stemmed from lack of flossing, missing regular dental visits, and dry mouth. If the problem has been on-going for a year, then you may have developed gingivitis.
However, don't be alarmed, because bleeding gums are common amongst people over 35, and the infection is curable.
Here's what you can do while you wait for your dental appointment.
1. Brush and floss after every meal
2. Use a good oral rinse that does not contain alcohol
3. Use an oral lubricant before bedtime so your mouth isn't so dry while sleeping
4. In the morning, rinse with salt and warm water as soon as you wake up
There is more you can do, but too much to list here. Check out the resource below for info on bleeding gums.

Bleeding gums can be caused by a variety of things: brushing too aggressively - you can wear down the enamel and irritate the gum line/cause recession (causes sensitivity as well), not using a soft enough bristled brush,... even flossing can. If your experiencing sensitivity/bleeding gums, don't use the electric toothbrushes as you don't have the same control over them and they can cause the enamel to wear down quickly if your not careful. Nutrition can also be a big player.
I definitely recommend going to the dentist as he will be able to determine if there is an underlying problem.
Good Luck :)

You need to keep your mouth from drying out, because bacteria thrives in dry conditions. You need to get an oral lubricant that increases the flow on oxygen to the mouth.
Saliva is the bodies natural defense against bacteria, because saliva contains oxygen which bacteria hates. This will aid tremendously in your fight against gingivitis/bleeding gums.
That's good you like brushing!! But there is such thing as brushing a bit too much :( heavy handedness+brushing too much doesn't work out too well. Brushing too much could be part of the problem, but what I really think is that you could possibly have periodontal (gum disease) BUT you could also just have fragile gum tissues. The best thing I would suggest would be to do some research. Hope I helped!!! :)
Sounds like your brushing good but don't brush hard its not good for your gums you can actually do damage by rough brushing.. you also need to floss THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT at least twice a day. I do in the morning then at night before bed.
Sounds like gingivitis. Brush with an extra soft tooth brush at least 2 times a day and floss daily. Mouth wash won't help. Seeing your dentist for a cleaning in February will be one of the best things you can do for it.
I'm a dentist
i think you are brushing to hard but you need to massage your gums gently hope it helps
