That simply depends on how crooked they were to begin with. Braces take time to do their job, and the severity of the problem to begin with.
it doesnt just happen. I got braces in august and so far i see do see a little bit of a difference with my bottom teeth. But with my top if anything they got worse. my teeth are fast moving. But to answer your question it takes about 1-3 years. But if you dont follow directions and can last to even 5 years. I would recommend you do what they say. And for more question that involve how long YOU should keep them on i would ask your orthadontist.

It doesn't just happen overnight. It usually takes 1 year-3 years. Your orthodontist will probably know an estimate of when your braces will be taken off, but nobody knows how long it will take EXACTLY. But don't worry...the wait is worth it!
Depending on your situation and whether it is merely cosmetic or for some sort of other issue, it could take years. It also depends on what method you choose.
About a year. 1 1/2 for me.
