Question: Teeth are still sore after getting braces.?
I got braces a few days ago. Ever since i got them i haven't been able to chew anything. Not even foods that are slightly hard. Not even tiny bits of vegetables in soup lol.
My teeth are really sore and they hurt when i close them together.
Is this normal for people who just got them? if so, how long does the soreness normally last?
lol im dying to eat some solid food. Im gunna go nuts if i have to eat mashed potatoes all the time xD

This is absolutely normal, the harshest most unbearable pain is when the braces are first put on. I remember even a banana was painful to eat, let alone jello. The jello itself was fine, but the fact that it made me clench my teeth together caused the pain. Some of us have a really low pain threshold, so that doesn't help.
Bottom line is, this is very normal, and it should be better in a couple weeks :)
I remember I was so desperate at one point, I daydreamed about blending steak and gravy <--- lol
