The pain should be gone in less than a week

The tooth doesn't hurt--it can't the root is gone. What is hurting is the tissue around the tooth. Why did you wait to take the antibiotics, They are in case there is any infection they should have been started yesterday. Take them until they are gone. Don't just stop because you are feeling better. They gave you pain killers so take them.

Whatever they lit with a lighter--are you sure it was even a lighter and not something that looked like one. Anyway whatever they lit with a lighter is sure wasn't to sterilize it.

The pain should be gone soon, as your tooth just underwent a huge change so this is fairly normal.. Take ibuprofen, make sure to take ALL of your antibiotics (Don't skip any!!) If after a week it is still hurting, call the dentist / endodontist.

It can be sore for a while after. Pain during and after root canals can vary so much it's hard to say but normally the tooth will feel pretty good within a few days at most.

The lighter was probably heating an instrument to pack in the gutta percha which is the filler.

I'm a dentist

friend go and get an X-Ray done of your RCT Treated Tooh ....that will reveal whether RCT is done properly or not........then show that X-Ray to some good dentist(endodontist) for expert opinion because after good RCT there shoulb be nopain

Just don't mind the pain, it will really take a little time for it to heal.
