Question: HELP filing many teeth..... with a tool to make it easy?
i want to get the tool itself and do it myself. i have specific desire and even when i was there i was so tempted to just say look give me that damn tool i will do it myself.
lets just make it easy for someone like me to do, my teeth frustrate me they are long and get in the way of my social life. i cant have normal conversations with confidence.
and yet my last dentist kept asking "why?" do i want more reshaping? and i said because it will help me. and i was told NO. in spite ofher saying between drillings that it would be ok to do more than i asked for.
so i think she was lying, or just looking for more information. please help me. i will buy a tool. even if it seems getto, i just want what i want to be done properly.

First of all please do not do this yourself as it is very dangerous. Second I am not sure why you are being told no as I have never seen your teeth. Only so much tooth structure can be removed before it would cause you great pain,pain similar to that of tooth that needs a root canal, its very painful. If your teeth are still not the desired length that you are looking for then perhaps it may be time to talk to your dentist and see if the length you desire is achievable with veneers, again the shape of teeth can only be changed so much. The reason why they are telling you No is because there is only so much enamel that covers your teeth and protect them dentin and pulp(nerve). If that is taken off too much then you will have sensitivity in those teeth. If that happens then you will need a root canal eventually. Trust your dentist and love your teeth. This is not something you should do yourself...and there is a reason why normal unlicensed people cannot just buy these tools. Your teeth are long for a reason whether you think they are too long or not, thats how YOUR teeth are made, and there is a reason for it. And your dentist knows best....their is a reason why they went to dental school and not some uneducated person can practice dentistry!
