Anyone know anything about tooth enamel?!

Question: Anyone know anything about tooth enamel?
My best friend has severe tooth problems. Her teeth are stained yellow and on her two front teeth at the top are large brownish white spots. She is very insecure about them. She also wears braces which is contributing to her enamel loss. She has had a rough childhood( and since has been adopted) which I think led to this. What can she do to fix the color and replace the enamel? I really wanna surprise her for her birthday and give her some good sound
Advice.

Answers:

Enamel is the hardest substance in the human body. However, it can be affected as early as in the womb if the baby's mother is not healthy. The large spots on your friend's teeth are called enamel hypoplasia. This cannot be helped by bleaching or a cleaning because it is an intrinsic stain (inside the tooth enamel). The best option to hide the discoloration would probably be veneers. They aren't as traumatic as they used to be because the teeth do not have to be "ground down" to place them. They are simply placed over the existing tooth. I highly highly recommend Pronamel toothpaste. Enamel cannot ever be replaced, but this toothpaste remineralizes the demineralized areas of the tooth, especially where the braces are causing demineralization. This toothpaste can be bought at Walmart and should be used faithfully at least two times per day to see results. Sometimes it may take a few months to see the results but I promise it will happen. Just FYI on this toothpaste, it does not foam as much as other toothpastes but is just as effective because several "fluff" ingredients are left out in order to make the remineralization process more successful. Also, I would recommend your friend to use a fluoride mouthrinse daily and make sure the drinking water she has is fluoridated. Hope this helps!
