This is quite normal after having a tooth extraction. The roots of teeth extend quite deep into the jaw bone, so there will be bruising, swelling and inflammation in the bone and the soft tissue around it.

This will settle over the next few weeks. Meanwhile you can take some anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen to help with inflammation and pain. Heat or cold packs can help too. Some people prefer one to the other.

That is completely normal. I had my wisdom teeth out 12 days ago, and right after, one of my cheeks was HUGE compared to the other one. It just means that they had a harder time getting the teeth out on the 'large cheek' side, and so you have more imflammation and swelling. Take 800mg of Ibuprofen/Motrin, and it will help with the swelling!! My cheeks are almost back to normal, and like I said, I got mine out 12 days ago...

I got my wisdom teeth out 12 days ago!

Ice it or put a hot towel on your face rinse your mouth make sure no food stays in your wounds put a tea bag to soothe the pain in the back n it will feel better eat soups and take advil
