What type of braces are NHS funded?!

Question: What type of braces are NHS funded?
I have a Maternity Exemption and obviously cosmetic changes to teeth aren't funded but what type are funded?
Would it only be cases if teeth are causing pain or sticking too far out or in etc??
If anyone could let me know that'll be great! Thanks (:

Orthodontic treatment is only available on the NHS for people up to the age of 19 and in full time education. And then on a genuine clinical need only.

Your exception certificate will not cover any cosmetic treatment at all and that will include orthodontics. As an adult you are expected to self fund and in the region of 2000.

Your exception certificate will enable your dentist to keep you dentally fit and no more.

I think its up to the age of 18
If you have more than 1 crooked tooth then you are liekly to get braces, BUT they cant be just a tiny bit crooked they have to be quite noticeable
if you have problems with your jaw/bite or whatever then your likely to get braces too
if your teeth are causing pain and its clear to them then yes
hope this helped..<3

If you are over 18, then very unlikely
