What is a good night guard for teeth grinding?!

Question: What is a good night guard for teeth grinding?
I have a small mouth and can't seem to find a good mouthguard for my teeth grinding during the night. I now have The Doctors brand and it has worked OK for a few months, but is just too uncomfortable and bulky. It made my overbite worse and has messed up the alignment of my teeth. Any suggestions on something that I can buy off the shelf? I'm not ready to fork out $600 on a custom made one from my dentist..

Answers:

I wouldn't recommend anything over the counter, I've struggled with this for years, as I grind my teeth as well, but I have to say stop throwing your money down the drain buying OTC night guards, and invest in something that will last. Also, OTC night guards can actually cause more damage than not wearing one (which is what obviously has happened here)! Some insurances will cover a portion of the cost for a night guard from a dentist, other times you can make a payment plan with the dentist, or apply for Care Credit to help with the cost. Good luck, hope this helps!

I'm a dentist and do them for $250. $600, really?? Where do you live, Hollywood?
I'd recommend a dentist made one if you can find it cheaper.
