I was hit in the mouth causing my teeth to shift, how would a dentist fix this?!

Question: I was hit in the mouth causing my teeth to shift, how would a dentist fix this?
Not too long ago, I was hit in the mouth on accident and my front tooth was actually hit back. I have to go to the dentist in a few weeks for a root canal because the hit apparently damaged my root. Anyway, my tooth has pretty much healed but it isn't all the way in place and 2 other teeth were slightly pushed causing them to be crooked. Would a dentist be able to align them to how they were without needing braces?

Answers:

A retainer as stated in another answer will not move teeth but only retains them. There is an appliance similar to a retainer with a small finger spring behind your tooth that is set back. The spring can push the tooth forward if it is not locked in behind them. You would need a dentist or even better, an orthodontist to look at it though and give you your options.

I'm a dentist

Your dentist would probably refer you to an orthrodontist and you may get a temporary retainer to wear for a few months until the minor problem is fixed. Sorry about your accident! =\
